Oscar Wilde (1854 - 1900) was born in Dublin, Ireland. His story is about a little swallow who stops to rest on a statue. It is known as the statue of the Happy Prince. But it isn't really happy. It is sad because it can see the miserable people of the town. The little bird helps the prince to make the people happy.
