My First Experience At Sea
I need to tell you first about myself before I start to tell my unbelievable life story.
I was born in the city of York in the north of England in 1632. My father was from Germany. He emigrated to England in order to live and work. After a while, he got married to my mother. She was English. Her family name was Robinson. So, when I was born, they gave me the name, 'Robinson.'
